Violins
This page features a number of my violins. The most popular violin that I make is a copy of a 1733 Guareri Del Gesu, based on an original that was owned and played by Fritz Kriesler. I have also produced violins of my own design. Each violin is unique, and is painstakingly hand-crafted using traditional techniques.

1733 Guarneri Del Gesu
This is my most popular model, a 1733 Guarneri Del Gesu. It has a big rich tone. The original was owned and played by Fritz Kriesler.
1716 Testore
Modelled on a 1716 Carlo Antonio Testore. This violin has a focussed and strident tone.
Guarneri in Japanese Maple and Cedar
This 1733 Guarneri Del Gesu has a six-piece back of Japanese maple. The scroll and ribs are also of Japanese maple from the island of Hokkaido. The belly is of three pieces of old-growth Japanese cedar from the sacred temple-island Yakushima. This violin sounds big and very rich in harmonic overtones.
Five-string violin with extended lower bout
This five-string instrument has a violin string length but also has an extended lower bout and deep ribs for a more viola-like tone.
Guarneri in Banksia and Norfolk Island Pine
This 1733 Guaneri Del Gesu has a back and scroll of Australian Banksia wood, and a belly of Norfolk Island pine. It has a focused and clean tone.
Guarneri in Banksia and Australian Red Cedar
This violin is made of Australian Banksia wood with an Australian Red Cedar belly. The Red Cedar belly gives a warm and pleasant tone.
Guarneri del Gesu 1733
Violin No. 46. This is my latest violin, also based on the kriesler Guarneri del Gesu 1733. It has a big warm tone.
